MY PLEDGE
I pledge to fight always for what is in the best interests of my country, the United States of America, and my state - the great State of Connecticut.
Although I address more than 60 issues on this website, I am most motivated to help our great president resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. It is the root of the formation of al Qaeda, the reason for 9-11, and the reason for the Iraq War. Read about it on this website (Real reason for Iraq, the Real reason for 9-11)
Don't let anyone downplay the importance of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. In his book “Forewarned,” Michael Cherkasky sites a survey that was conducted in several countries, including
The problem is AIPAC and Zionism. I am a Progressive Democrat. I am not anti-Semitic but I am anti-Zionist and vehemently anti-AIPAC. AIPAC is a cancer in our government. AIPAC must be put in check.
To demonstrate the depth of American ignrorance of the problem, I did a simple survey in Fairfield County of 100 Caucasian men. I chose men who looked like power brokers and asked two questions: 1) do you consider yourself well-informed, and 2) what do you think of AIPAC? All surveyed stated that they were "well informed," however - amazingly - 98 out of 100 had no idea what AIPAC was and that AIPAC is the most powerful force in Washington. This is no accident: in 1982 Ronald Reagan was going to thank AIPAC publicly, but AIPAC's leadership said, "oh no you don't - we stay under the radar." And they have been growing to enormous power. The most patriotic thing you can do for your country is to learn about AIPAC.
Did you know that Mr. Netanyahu bragged to the Jerusalem Post that the U.S. Congress will be pro-Israel for the next 20 years. AIPAC has worked very hard behind the scenes to influence every major election to make sure only pro-Israel candidates are elected. We have a House and Senate full of politicians who are ignorant of the real facts or quite simply motivated by self-interest or zealots for cause of Israel. They fall all over themselves to outdo each other in their pro-Israel fervor. They drink the Kool-Aid completely, evidenced by twenty-six standing ovations for Mr. Netanyahu in May 2011. The message Mr. Netanyahu was sending to our great president: I own your country - back down.
Even if I'm the lone, brave voice, I pledge to fight on the floor of the senate at EVERY opportunity to stop the funding for
